Chairman's Note
I am truly excited for the year to come. We will be starting fresh with funding (a first) and with outlets to spread our message and mature our club. Most of all, I anticipate working with my campus community to turn the tides increasingly in favor of ideas that will enlighten minds, win hearts, and make a difference.

In the fall of 2004, Ryan Moorefield re-started the RU College Republicans aiming to make a difference in the '04 Presidential Re-Election of President George W. Bush.
Shortly before the election, Brian Erskine and Sarah Swedberg joined Ryan and organized a rally for the Bush/Cheney ticket.
The three of them organized the club and built membership to over 80 on the rolls, and have continued the growing trend of the club.
The College Republican Federation of Virginia chartered the RU College Republicans in the spring of 2005.
Our plans to bring in speakers, hold debates, and support Republicans in office will be a few of the goals for the '06-'07 school year.
