The Radford University Digital Ensemble is a performing group comprised
entirely of electronic instruments. Students build upon a repertoire spanning
from traditional to modern and avant-garde music while learning to perform
using an array of technology. Electronic Wind Instruments, MIDI Mallet
and Violin Controllers, Synthesizers, Drum Machines and Electric Guitars
are standard features in the group's instrumentation. The Ensemble varies
in composition depending upon the interests and needs of the students
enrolled in the course, and the group frequently undertakes compositions
by RU Faculty and Students.
