| The Center for Music Technology maintains an array of MIDI-based, computer-controlled digital synthesizers and sound processing equipment placed in five computer music studios, a 13-station computer-keyboard classroom linked as a local area network, and three computer-assisted classrooms. The Center also maintains a fully equipped digital audio-video production studio capable of converting multi-track digital recordings into DVD's, compact discs and CD-ROM's. Surround-sound (DTS 5.1) digital recording and editing facilities in audio and video media permit production of professional quality audio and video tapes. The primary computer music studio is equipped with Macintosh dual-processor G5 and MacPro computers running ProTools HD196, Apple ProLogic, digital samplers, Yamaha TG77, TG55, TX802, Ensoniq VFX, Kurzweill K2000, Emu Proteus/1, Waldorf Microwave, and Korg Wavestation A/D synthesizers. Digital processors inclu de Alesis Quadraverb, BBE Sonic Maximizer, and Orban analog reverberation units. 16X8 digital mixing, 32-track analog and digital, and DAT recording facilities with full editing capabilities in the digital domain. The Center also maintains a surround-sound audio/video production studio. |
