| To promote an understanding of problems and solutions associated with computer music applications in a wide variety of contexts. A survey of available music software focusing on application development. Projects use Opcode's MAX, and Hypercard with multi-media extensions. | |||

| Original
compositions using electronic sound sources are prepared for performance
in a concert setting or as a vital component in an audio-visual presentation.
Existing works composed for electronic sound sources are surveyed. May be
taken again for credit. Pre-requisites: Musc 127 and Musc 212 |

for intensive work on individual projects in computer music and related
research, with class discussion of these and of current developments in
the field. Emphasis on composition, performance, application development,
and research in psycho-acoustics. Graduate credit requires work at advanced
