WeBWorK Course Set-Up

To all potential WeBWorK users:

If you want a WeBWorK course for this semester, please let me know by Saturday, 8/24/02 each of the following:

  1. Course name(s)
    1. Example for combined sections:  Math104.01_03_08_Spring2002_aKirtner
    2. Example for separate sections:

  1. Let me know which is your choice for the default display:
    1. Formatted-text (quicker, but not as pretty display of math)
    2. Typeset (math is displayed as gifs) If you choose this mode, you should email me when you have posted a new assignment so that we can have the server “preCreate” the images for a faster generation of student’s display.
  2. Forward your final (after 5 pm on 8/23) class roster to me by email.  We will upload your students into your new class(es) as named above.  Everything should be ready for you to create new assignments by Monday morning, 8/26/02.

Reminder:  schedule Walker 222 classroom for a brief introduction (15-20 minutes) of WeBWorK to your students.  I will be happy to do this for your class if you prefer.  Just let me know when.

Reminder:  If you would like a quick demo of how to most easily move assignments (setNEW.def) from your private course to your class assignments, I’ll be happy to meet with you.  Just arrange a time with me when we can work at a computer.

Reminder:  All of the "practice1, practice2,..." users will be deleted from your private courses so that they are truly private.
