Distraction -- HLTH 410 Driver Education

This is an online assignment for future teachers of Driver Education. 

Its purpose is to provide an understanding of the risks and dangers associated with and a result of distraction. 

Based on these data and what information is available, describe the precautions that need to be implemented.

The assignment:

• Your topic is assigned to you in the table attached.
• Use the internet and other common media sources to locate the following information:
• What are the current laws within the State of Virginia which are related?
• What is the current teen driving behavior (good or bad) associated with these behaviors?
• What are the statistics associated with these behaviors?  What trends are evident over the years, if any?
• What are the “experts in the field” advising?
• Based on the information available to you, what are you conclusions and recommendations?
• Summarize the above in as few pages as possible (2-4). 
• Be sure to include all sources of information; that is a complete bibliography.  Be sure the link address are complete, not just the general site or home page.  This list is expected to be several pages.
• E-mail this to me by 6:30 p.m. Monday of Finals Week.
