ESHE 358 Course Description and Class Procedures

Purpose of this course:

It is the purpose of the class to assure that students are computer literate.   We live in a technological age and these skills are essential for school, jobs and life in general.  It is recognized that students in class may possess some of these basic skills, so this course is structured to allow credit for what you know and instruction to develop and/or improve areas in which help is needed. Students shall be computer literate and able to use and learn other technology upon completion of this course.

How the class works:

Students accumulation of points to determine their grade in the course.  Theses points can be obtained by properly compleeting projects. The essential skills list below providesthe base for each project. In general, one project per week is to be submitted and whem completed properly, is worth the points assigned to it.  The class has a 100 point base so 90 is an A, 80 a B, etc. Projects must be submitted weekly. That is-- students are not permitted to submitt an excessive number of projects at the end of the semester.

Attendance for this class is not required. However, students must attend the first class or contect the instructor and schedule an inperson meeting to review the exact procedures for submitting projects and recieving credit.
