Dynamic HTML Effects

The objective of this exercise is to show you how to use Dynamic HTML Animation Effects in FrontPage. For example, DHTML animation made this text spiral in from the right when the page was loaded.  If you didn't see this paragraph fly in the first time, hit reload/refresh in your browser.

Background Information and Observation of Dynamic HTML Effects

To observe some mouseover effects created through dynamic HTML, position your cursor over the four links below.  Do not click each link, just position your cursor and watch what happens.

You can apply Dynamic HTML (DHTML) animation effects to just about anything on a page — text, paragraphs, pictures, buttons, etc — and tie the effect to a trigger event, such as clicking a mouse, pointing a mouse, loading a page, and so on. Try out the examples below to observe different types of animation effects:

When you point to this paragraph, the font changes to bold.

When you click this paragraph, a border and shading are added to it.

When you double-click this violet, it flies off the page.

When you single-click this stack of books it changes to a graduation hat.
