Trinity College
Trinity College was founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I on the site of an Augustinian monastery. Originally it was a Protestant College, but it later began to take Catholics as well. Samuel Beckett and Edmund Burke were among the famous students from Trinity. One of the major attractions is the Old Library and The Book of Kells. The Old Library is in the Long Room which is 210 feet and holds 200,000 texts.
