Thoughts on London

London was pretty cool.  I didn't know very much about it going there.  The main touristy sights are nice and there is an abundance of museums and cultural things to keep you busy.  Its kinda cramped, it seems like everything is packed tightly together into one small space.

The Globe Theater was one of the best things I could have done on this trip.  To see an actual Shakespeare play in the Globe was indescribable.  Standing right in front of the stage, so near the actors, it truely was a unique experience.

London is a great place to visit to get it all at once, culture, touristy sights, nightlife, history all in one package.

The weather there was fairly warm on most days, a little chilly on others, but all in all very nice for our stay.

Food

London's breakfast was mostly cereal and breads like that in Paris.  The dinner was different.  Our hotel had the best Fish and Chips I think I have ever eaten.  In fact, I had it at least once a day either for lunch or dinner. Other than that, the food was remarkably similar to American food.  The drinks were also similar, although there were a few things I had never heard of before.

Transportation

Similar to that of the Paris, London also has a metro system, called the Underground or the Tube. The only difference I noted was the in Paris a ticket was required to enter the metro station and in London one was required to both enter and exit.  The Underground I found to be very useful, easy to use and quite safe.  They also drive on the left here, and have the green man for a signal.  Walking is still preferred form of transportation.

Advise for future travelers

Buy a travel guide with a map, it is very helpful in planning out your trip

Research the places online, there are often day tours that will take you outside the city if you don't want to travel outside on your own

If you don't want to worry about exchanging money, the best thing to bring is just your VISA check/debit card, it works in all the ATMs.
