I often write on my sculptures. I once wrote on a sculpture of a partially open suitcase with stars coming out of it: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Then he packed it all in a dark suitcase. We are all in there now traveling at the speed of light."

Wood is my main material, and construcion is my pain method. I live my life and I make things from that experience about what seem important, beautiful, and meaningful. I do this with the faith that it is possible for others to find meaning and beauty in them as well. I believe htat trugh and beauty can only be discovered and expressed through metaphor - ultimately everything is like everything else and no thing is only like itself.
