RADFORD – The Radford University Appalachian
Events Committee presents Old Crow Medicine Show in concert
Friday, Feb. 9 at 8 p.m. in Bondurant Auditorium, Preston Hall. The
group was most recently featured on Garrison Keillor’s Prairie
Home Companion All-Star New Year’s Eve Special and on the
soundtrack for the motion picture Transamerica.
Music
of the five-piece band is described as “old-time meets rock.” They
have released five full-length albums and members individually
collaborated on 11 albums including a compilation album from the
Bonnaroo music festival. Often seen on CMT and GAC TV channels, the
band has been featured in the documentaries American Roots Music,
In the Valley Where Time Stands Still and Bluegrass Journey.
Admission is $20 general public, $15 with RU
I.D. and $10 children 12 and under. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Jan.
23, at the Bonnie Hurlburt Student Center Information Desk.
