Christmas or X-mas?

What would the holidays be without a little politics? Is it "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays"? Some children have been forbidden to celebrate these holidays in public schools. Others have been prohibited from reading the Declaration of Independence. Is this sensitive and fair, or is it an over-reaching crock of bologna?
