If We Are the Highlanders, Then It's Time to Start Showing Our Spirit.

Radford University: home of the Highlanders. It is time to show our school spirit. I'm not saying bring out terrible towels. I don't recommend painting your chest. I do recommend one thing though: kilts.

As Highlanders, we show a Celtic heritage; why not cash in on this at the games? It is time that RU uses its talents to provide one special memorabilia item: Macfarlane plaid kilts. We use this plaid as our school color, and it's a simple fact that we need to go with what sells.

Think about this: first, what red-blooded American wouldn't want to show his school spirit by wearing a kilt? It's the ultimate fashion. Not only that, females can wear skirt-kilts as well.

The school will make money in the process. We're talking about manufacturing a cloth item that costs roughly $10.00 in materials and can be sold for $20 - $25. Nothing fancy; something simple.

Let's not forget the simple fact that before every game we can reenact "Braveheart." It's an important step in the right direction for Radford University sports. Let us show our spirit.
