Previous Spiderman games had the effect of walking across a screen and fighting the villain. As technology progressed, players were able to swing from rooftop to rooftop and get more involved in the story. With the latest Spiderman game, all that and more is capable. Players have a story and villains to take care of and are given New York City to swing through.

In Spiderman 2, players can run on the ground go through the story of the game as well as stop purse snatchers, road-rage addicts, monsters attacking the city, or just swing through the city and do whatever you'd like.

The game takes place a lot like Grand Theft Auto, and, thank goodness, Marvel used this game engine. The possibilities are endless and New York is perfectly detailed including the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

The great thing about Spiderman 2 is that defeating all of the bosses in story mode does not mean the end of the game; it's only half.

Spiderman 2 takes you inside the game and gives you the chance to save the city countless times.
