This DVD really was great. It contains all 13 episodes and is loaded - and I mean loaded - with extras. It contains a character modeler which deals with the structure and make up of each of these characters. It has an animated gag reel which is always a plus. It has a spider-fact that talks about the history of Spider-Man. All of this of course includes the making of the episodes and what it took to create these series. It is very high-quality and contains good stories. One of my favorite things about this DVD is Spiderman's theme music. The techno beat keeps you focused on the action. I think MTV had a was really onto something with this music. This series has some great cameos for voices as well. For starters the main cast is done by Ian Ziering(Beverly Hills 90210), singer-songwriter Lisa Loeb, and good old Doogie Howser's Neil Patrick Harris taking the lead voicing. Plus the stars that make cameos such as Rob Zombie, Michael Clarke Duncan, Eve, Gina Gershon, Kathy Griffin, and Stan "The Man" Lee. Of course it's worth the pick up. At first, I had issues with the visual effects; they were sort of cheesy because of that new 3-D effect that everyone is trying. However, by the end of the series, they had improved and grown on me. Over all, I think they did a good job with the effects and made the series look fairly realistic. With great cameos, stories, villains and special effects, this DVD is a winner in my book. |
