Now that the DVD is out, what makes it so special? Well, I'll tell you. Not only do you get this amazing movie but loads of "stuff" as well. Mine actually came with a bonus CD that came with 6 songs sung by Shrek Characters. How amusing is it to have Donkey sing "Disco Inferno," or Puss in Boots sing "These Boots are for Walking," not to mention the irony in the three blind mice singing "I Can See Clearly Now"? There are other great songs included on this bonus CD. Now let's get back that "stuff." As I said, there are some great amazing features in this DVD, such as story design, commentaries, gag reels -- oh and of course a great making of Puss in Boots. The best thing probably though is the special alternate ending of the Far Far Away Idol. Far Far Away Idol basically is a parody of American Idol. It's a great little extra that has the characters singing songs such as the ones on the CD I mentioned. I mean, who wouldn't love to hear and see this stuff? It's a very interesting idea to have these characters do a parody not too far off from "Shrek" where the characters did a karaoke in the swamp at the end as a special feature. This, of course, goes great with the fact that Donkey and Puss in Boots sing "Livin' La Vida Loca." There is absolutely nothing bad about this DVD except that it will be several more years before we see a third one come out. I give this one an A+ because -- well, it just reeks of awesomeness. |
