I went to the Tim McGraw in concert On Sept. 11 at the Roanoke Civic Center. It was a very awesome concert plus having third-row seats was really great as well.  The only problem was there was absolutely no where to park. So, we ended up having to park on Jefferson Street since the parking lot was full. Obviously, the concert was sold out.

After our long walk, we finally made it in time for the concert. The first band to play was The Warren Brothers. I didn't really like them at all. They are a very new bad who not many people have heard of.

Next, Big and Rich came on and were really good. I wasn't really looking forward to hearing them play, but they actually surprised me. They really livened up stage, especially with their big hit, "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy."

But the main show everyone had been waiting for was Tim McGraw, of course. They ripped down a big black curtain that they had up for the other shows to make his concert look very nice. He had tons of movie screens in the background, along with a really great setup.

Then he finally came on, and it was just really great. He put on a great show that last until 11:30 p.m. He sang a bunch of my favorite songs like "Don't Take the Girl," and of course everyone's favorite, "Live Like You Were Dying." He was a very big hit.

The thing I liked most about the show was how Tim McGraw really tried to get everyone involved. He brought up so many people on his stage to just sit there and listen to his songs since they had bad seats. Also, he was shaking everyone's hand and giving tons of autographs. My favorite part was when he threw me one of his guitar picks!

He also made a really great tribute to the men and women who are overseas fighting right now. One of his friends is in the army and had been over there. So he dedicated a song to them and put up tons of pictures that his friend had taken while he was over there. He seems like such a nice man, and I really enjoyed the show thoroughly.
