Alter Bridge: take 1 Creed band; remove lead singer; add previous bassist; finally, add new lead singer. Stir, and let settle. Alter Bridge has done an amazing job in my opinion. So far in fact that I wouldn't be surprised to see them perhaps get recognition for high selling record. When their album "One Day Remains" came out, I was a little skeptical but excited to see it come out. I have to say it was an incredible experience. Alter Bridge picks up where Creed left off - with a vengeance. Their drums hit harder, their singer belts the song harder, and Tremonti's guitar skills are outstanding. I'm sure people are cynical about Alter-Bridge. It's a type of mix where if you like Creed, you'll like this, but if you don't like Creed, you'll like this. Their music fits together. It sounds like the lead singer has a bit of a Chris Cornell-esque voice with the power that he has. They are up for the challenge of all the criticism they have and will receive. The CD has 11 amazing tracks that all pack a punch from start to finish. They have hard hits and slow hits that will leave fans asking for more. If you listen close enough you can even realize that the vocals are the same from the movie "Rockstar". All in all, this is a great album that leaves fans asking the question, "Scott who?" |
