Radford's Present to Students

Radford has recently opened up a little gift to all Radford University students. That gift is known as Sheetz. As everyone knows, there really isn't a whole lot in Radford. I visited this Sheetz for the first time and was awe-struck.

I remember walking around the store with my roommate in a state of shock. The only thing I could think of what that there was no need to ever go anywhere else in Radford. I never thought that I would ever say this, but, yes, it's true. A convenience store made me speechless. From alcohol to breakfast sandwiches served all day, it was all there. Almost anything I could imagine was sitting on the shelves right in front of me. I don't really know how long I was in Sheetz, but I could tell that Sheetz would be my downfall next semester.

The first week that it opened, all I heard from everyone was that they were going to Sheetz simply to get gas. However with the convenience of a touch-screen computer, they just couldn't resist from ordering a meal. Before now, Wal-Mart was the big thing around Radford. When I would go home to the busy area of Baltimore, telling friends that one of the highlights of my week was walking around Wal-Mart was met with pity. It's a small town here, and there isn't a whole lot to do during the day. So anything can seem like an outing. Now when I tell people back home that I have a Sheetz that is only two minutes away, they simply respond with jealousy.
