Republicans Come to RU

With the election approaching, some Radford students decided it best to come together and form the College Republicans. Radford currently has the Young Democrats, but until recently, there was no distinct Republican club.

     The College Republicans motto is found on their website and states: "Radford University's College Republicans pride themselves on their ability to educate other students on conservative issues, and on their work in local, statewide, and national political campaigns. The Club at RU is an excellent outlet to meet politically interested students from every corner of the GOP, and to find access to the exciting political world."

     "I feel that it's only fair that College Republicans be introduced here at Radford because there should be equal representation of both Democrats and Republicans. Hopefully the group will have the same success as the College Democrats," commented RU senior, Lori Ferguson.

     Chairman Michael Hodges, Vice Chairman Chris Halsey, and webmaster and former chairman Michael Cole run the College Republicans and hope to make it a well known organization here at RU.
