As we grow older, it seems like the excitement of Halloween has been left behind. Sure, it is still exciting to show your personality through some funny costume to wear to parties, but what happened to the days when carving a pumpkin was one of the highlights of your year?

For those who miss those days, Radford is giving you a chance to go back in time to good, clean Halloween fun. On Friday, Oct. 29, Radford will host some Halloween festivities including a Trick-or-Treat Trail, pet costumes and pumpkin carving. The event will take place in the Norwood Square Parking Lot.

When you were younger, Halloween was not only a holiday but an event. What you were going to dress up as was the talk of the school. The decision between store-bought or home-made costumes was always a big deal. Family trips to the pumpkin patch, spending a whole night carving the pumpkins and watching Halloween movies seems like a thing of the past.

Although this won't be the same as it was in the past, it is a nice chance to sit back and enjoy the holiday for what it is, while watching kids who have the same excitement as you used to.
