The Women's Lacrosse Club is making its first appearance on RU's campus. Lead by Sarah Worley and Katie Christopher, the Women's Lacrosse Club of RU has started practices and has already been invited to scrimmage VT's Women's Lacrosse Club team.

The club was first set in motion last spring and has been finalizing some minor details. After filing the paper work and finding an advisor, the Women's Lacrosse Club of RU is official. Dr. Wirgau, an RU chemistry professor, has agreed to support the club by becoming their advisor.

"All of the girls are so excited about this upcoming year and really getting to work together as a team. Many of the girls have played for years and many are brand new to the sport, so it should definitely be a fun and exciting year," said RU junior Mandy Deboy, who will be the team's goalie.

The team plans to practice every Tuesday and Thursday and will hold conditioning practice on Wednesday. For those interested in playing, please contact Sarah Worley at sworley@radford.edu or Katie Christopher at kchristop@radford.edu.
