As the political race heats up, Americans get to listen to what each candidate feels about the issues. With the first Presidential debate completed along with the Vice Presidents debate, Americans are beginning to get to know the candidates a little more. On September 30, 2004 was the first presidential debate between President George Bush and Governor John Kerry. Many issues were touched on, and for those who have never watched a debate, both candidates get a certain amount of time to answer questions brought up and make comments as to why they would be the best choice for president. The last debate took place on Wednesday, Oct. 13. For those who don't know who they would choose to vote for as of yet, this is the perfect time to get an idea of both candidates idea of what they want America to become. After each debate, it is discussed who "won" the debate, even though the debate has questions from different angles. The polls are always changing, and the debates definitely have a huge impact on voters who were undecided. Different issues are discussed at each debate, so that everything can be touched on. With all the hurricanes and other issues facing the United States today, this is a key time for the candidates to step out and show America what they are going to do instead of just telling us. President Bush has had four years to show us how he works as a President and what he can do for us, this is the time for Kerry to attempt to do the same. So for those who don't know as of yet who to vote for, this is a big time to really learn about each candidate and analyze their decisions and how consistent they are and how your opinions agree with each candidate.
