Where Did The Taco Salad Go? Imagine yourself in this predicament: you've waited all summer to get back to school- not for the parties, the friends, or the classes, but for that taco salad you've been craving all summer. Your mouth waters at the prospect. However, when you finally get back to school and rush over to the Terrace Shops, you realize that the entire layout has been changed. Panic sets in. Where is the taco salad? It can't be far, you assure yourself, it's merely laying in wait in a different location, waiting for you to swipe your ID card and make it yours. You were wrong. After checking the perimeters, visiting every food stand, even the surrounding area, you have to face the facts that your beloved taco salad is gone. You weren't the only one who was disappointed. You hear audible groans behind you, "The taco salad was the best thing on the menu! Why did they take it off?" You don't know, and at this point you're so frustrated you don't want to think about it for fear that, in your angst, you'll do something crazy like sign yourself up for the Michael Bolton mailing list or something equally horrifying. You might be identifying with this scenario, because (surprise!) the same thing has happened at Radford. The new Terrace Shop layout may be fun and exciting, complete with Sbarros and colorful booths to sit at, but that just doesn't make up for the taco salad that was taken away. Not only was it the best part of the Terrace Shops, it also was a complete and balanced meal! I've noticed that, with the absence of said taco salad, many of my peers have limited their visits to the terrace shops, claiming that there's "just nothing good to eat." With that in mind, I'm taking it upon myself to appeal to the school board, the food service, anyone who will listen, when I say: "Please bring back the taco salad!" Michael Bolton may not thank you, but I will.
