A Tribute To Tributaries
| Published 04/30/04

Adam Gripp has been drawing some of the best cartoons I've had the priveledge of posting on this growing toon section in the past couple of semesters. His comic sequence of Id vs. Ego has been leaving readers wondering "what's going to happen next?" since its origin, and hey - with a toon that starts with someone ripping another person's heart out, who can resist reading it?

Ande Hearn is another guest artist who has graced the whim community with her art and toons. Her wacky "Mis-adventures of Ande & Kt" left us all wondering "what the hell?" (but in a good way) and her artwork is a style all of it's own.

Amanda Hoffer has a long-lasting-legacy here at whim for her work on the tech section (especially SFYA), and one week she finally gave in to my increasing demands for toons (HA!) with an...interesting comic entitled "Squiggle & Doodle". That comic changed my life. Seriously. The pain and suffering of those little doodles- I can't go into it without getting choked up.

Good old John Cordiano. What can I say about our loyal and royal editor-in-chief? Well, I can definitely say that he's been an inspiration to us all, especially me. Ok, is that good enough chief? Can I get my shoes back? Ow! That whip hurts!!

Ok, Zoe is one crazy kid. She one time dared me to huff this bottle of white out for 10 minutes, and, like an idiot, I tried it. When I came to, all of my clothes were missing and I was in Vegas working as a strip club DJ. Those were the days! Check out her Jedi Christ adventures on the front page of the toon section...or else!

Andrew Lent says he has no drawing ability, but if you check out this summer's Art Gallery, you will see that he is chock full of poo. Make sure you let him know by sending him a nice mailbomb as a thank-you present - I know I will.

Brandon Faust, aka Ritz Cracker, is passing the Ritz torch as he leaves Whim and Radford University forever. We will all miss his witty comments and puns, and I especially will miss his contributions to the toon section. Too bad he's leaving us to go be an extra in Star Trek Revisited - Spock's Laundry Day Woes.

I'd like to thank everyone once again for all their help these past two seasons, and cordially invite any Radford University staff & alumni to contribute to this growing section. Also, to anyone I've forgotten - I'm sorry! It's all John Cordiano's fault!
