Cowboy Bebop Soundtrack: The series and its music are symbiotic, and perhaps you cannot enjoy one without knowing of the other. For those of you that are curious, the opening theme song "Tank!" is found on the Original Series Soundtrack. There are multiple soundtracks, but I will be discussing the Original Series Soundtrack and "Blue," another one of the soundtracks. Other favorites, like Steve Conte's "Rain" from the Ballad of Fallen Angels episode and "Flying Teapot" which is in the episode where Faye tells the story of her past, are also found on the soundtracks. Most of the songs you hear are expanded versions and classic beats, such as "Chicken Bone" from Mushroom Mamba, and have the vocals along with them that add a completely new flavor to the music. Since I've received copies of the soundtracks, they haven't left my Winamp queues or my car stereo. If you've seen a red Ford Escort driving by with music pouring out the windows that just doesn't fit a college town, that's me - rocking the soundtrack. This music just adds a feeling of elegance to any room. The Original Series Soundtrack is basically all instrumental performances, except for Steve Conte's "Rain." If you are looking for jazz and blues with vocals behind them, pick up "Blue." Either way, you will get an amazing mixture of music and class.
