This is it folks. The last edition of Whim Sports this year! What a sad day. I know all of you are going to have a tough couple weeks without Whim, but there are so many games on TV that can keep you busy. Don't worry we'll be back next semester! And I'd like to take this time to thank everyone on the Whim staff especially John, Gen, and my writers. Have a great holiday season everyone, don't drink too much eggnog, and try and make it out to a game or two. Enjoy.
Last year for the Whim Holiday Edition, I put together a list of
resolutions. This year, it's time for me to compile wish lists from
around the world of sports including one from me.
All this ruckus over the BCS point standings is
beginning to dull the excitement of what the BCS was designed to do:
produce great bowl games. If any team finishes the season ranked number
one in both the AP and Coaches poll, what does it matter what bowl game
you play in? The only difference is a little money and a trophy you have
to return at the beginning of the following season anyway. What does
this Christmas have in store for you? Santa brings you a bowl game
lineup that forces the fridge to be stocked and plentiful throughout the
Christmas season, and I submit the top three bowl games.
It was Christmas Eve, and all through the house,
not a creature was stirring, not even a... opps, wrong story. The
following is the top 10 signs you know Christmas is near in the sports
world.
The Lakers have a stacked team. æIf they can just
stay injury free, they can win the championship.
