The Ritz section is proud to present to you the favorite holiday flicks of Whim.

Name Movie Title Comments
Jonelle "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" "Christmas is my favorite holiday, and I know I am going to grow up to be like Clark Griswald, my fiance always jokes I am living in the 1950s."
Dylan Old, "Scrooged" and New, "Bad Santa" "Hands down. Bill Murray's funniest performance: Bah, humbug! 'Bad Santa' is perfectly drunken holiday bliss!"
Doni "Home Alone" "It's just a great holiday movie."
John C. "It's a Wonderful Life" "There's nothing like a classic movie to put you in the holiday spirit."
Brandon "A Christmas Story" "There is nothing better than the classic scenes in this movie. I wish I had a leg lamp!"
Berkley "Elf" "This movie is simple and funny."
Matt "The Grinch That Stole Christmas" "I can relate to that ol' Grinch."
Mike F. "Scrooged" "One of my favorite Christmas movies of all time. It is a modern twist and overall dark comedy based on Charles Dicken's 'A Christmas Carol' with Murray playing a heartless corporate executive who has to face the consequences of his actions by his Past, Present and Future. Hilarity ensues. Trust me -- this is a very nice alternative to all the 'National Lampoon's A Christmas Vacation' picks that I am sure will run rampant on this list by my fellow staffers."
Daine "Home Alone 2" "There's nothing funnier than a nut shot."
Kevin "Mr. Kreuger's Christmas" "An all-time classical story of an old man's Christmas and how simple acts of kindness make the world go round. I need it on DVD!"
Jennifer "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" "It is such a classic Christmas story."
Shaun "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" Lost his voice.
Genevieve "Home Alone" "It's a classic movie. You have to love all the slap-stick comedy and the warm family message behind the laughs."

I would like to throw down "Halloween II" into the holiday movie mix. Nothing like going after your loved ones with a scalpel and hammer. Red is the color of love and joy.

"It's a Wonderful Life" is awesome, "A Christmas Story" is a hoot, "Miracle on 34th Street" is a classic, and I still like "The Homecoming" (the movie that launched "The Waltons"). I have also started watching "Little Women" (Winona Ryder version) every Christmas. I challenge ANYone to get through the scene where Beth receives a certain special gift without blubbering.
