Whim's Weekly Newsletter
Season 14

10/24/03The Official Online Magazine of Radford University
Welcome
It's October 24, and Halloween is only a week away. This edition of Whim is dedicated to the one day of the year when it's okay to walk around disguised as someone else. This year I'm going to dress up as a European soccer fan in the front row of a game. I'm going to strap a chain link fence to my face and wear a Liverpool jersey!

Congratulations this week goes to Shaun Corley, for continually submitting articles about Star Trek and other tech related goodies! Thanks for all your work Shaun!

We hope you enjoy our potpourri of Halloween goodness this week. We've tried our best to bring you spooky tales and horrific news.

With that being said, grab your mask and your bag of candy, and dig right in to another edition of Whim!

Features

My Favorite Horror Movies
by Berkley Pritchett | Staff Writer

A creepy list submitted from Ritz guru, Berkley, of his favorite horror movies. Beware, this is your only warning!

Thanksgiving Zombies
by Phil Hunnicutt | Staff Writer

This is an article regarding the ecology of the undead and why we should not unleash so many hordes of them on one day a year. It also includes my ideas for the other holiday that would be suited for zombies.

For Pete's Sake, Angelos is Baltimore's Grim Reaper
by Doug McKinney | Sports Manager

Every sport legend is matched up with a fictional character. NFL coach Jon Gruden is referred to as "Chucky." Michael Jordan starred in "Space Jam" with the lovable Looney Toons. Baltimore Orioles' owner must be paired with the Grim Reaper if you take into consideration the fact that he is killing the Orioles franchise, fan base and any hope of a bright future.
