April Fool's is over and that kind of makes me sad. Not
that I care about April Fool's day or anything, but Whim is kind of fun to read
when all the articles are so fake and so funny. Nevertheless, Whim is fun to
read all the time, so here we go again for another non-April Fool's edition of
your favorite online magazine! Uh-oh, my spidey sense is tingling, so go read
Whim while I go save the day!

Once the Fighting is Over
Andrew Lent | Staff Writer
The fighting is slowing down, and will be over in a
relatively short amount of time according to the standards of war. However,
building the peace in Iraq, specifically a government that will abide by a
democratic constitution, will take years. Will the American people and the
world community have patience for such a task? Will our resolve for peace be
as passionate as our drive for war? These questions will have to be answered
in the only measure possible: time.

Sports: What's The Deal? Part I
Jesse McBride | Staff Writer
Today, the words "athlete" and "baby" are almost
synonymous. Some athletes today make more money than some countries'
national incomes, and yet they want more. Athletes used to play because
they loved the game. They used to have a desire to play hard, a drive to do
the best they could in each and every game. Today, sports have become a
show: who can have the most spectacular dunk, the hardest hit, the most
points.

Take Some Time to Relax
Nick Pietron | Vent Section Manager
In a time where the clocks are never moving slow enough,
where is the hope of humanity taking a few minutes to breathe the air around
them? It seems that everyone is just so rushed all of the time, and no one
really takes time to do things slowly anymore. Computers are faster, meals are
quicker, and life moves at the speed of light. Where is the time to relax and
remember the important things that make us naturally happy, such as going on a
hike, hanging out with friends, or just laying down and taking a nap?
