Joe and Annie made a great couple. They did everything together, from grocery shopping to college classes. Joe and Annie were perfect for one another in every way, but that led to problems. It turns out that Joe and Annie were so alike that they had the same flaws, and unfortunately, neither of them could keep their cool in the silliest of arguments. Their relationship took a turn for the worse, and they decided to slow down.

Valentine's Day came and went that year, and they didn't celebrate it. They were both too upset and angry with one another. Joe really messed up. He didn't even buy her a rose or take her to a nice dinner. He didn't see the point with things the way they were between them.

Time passed, and Annie couldn't take it anymore. She built up the courage to do something that should have been done long before, and the two lovers went their separate ways. It was not easy for either of them. Only after some time, and a lot of help from their friends, did they manage to move on. They had had a very long and deep relationship, and those are never easy to give up.

During the many months they spent apart, both Joe and Annie had a lot of time to grow up. Eventually, they found each other again. Through a lot of rebuilding and apologizing, Joe and Annie fell back in love. They decided they should give their relationship a second chance.

Things became hard the second time around. Joe had been called out of town for business and was living away from where the two had spent so much time together. Annie had also become very involved in her business, but she did not like coming home to an empty house. This made things difficult. While they had both grown up a lot, a new set of problems, including distance, time, and high stress levels, came about. In the end, this would destroy them again.

Valentine's Day was approaching again, and the two would be totally separated for this one.

Today is that Valentine's Day, and Joe is still out there, alone, searching for Annie. He wants to redeem himself for the terrible things he had done the previous Valentine's Day. While Joe and Annie are made-up characters, their situation is a real one that many people have had to deal with in their relationships. The actual people that Joe and Annie represent are two very dear friends of mine who should be together today, despite their scarred past.

Joe, if you are out there, forgive Annie and give her the Valentine's Day she has deserved for a long time. And Annie, if you read this, forgive Joe and know that he loves you very much. I love both of you, and would like to see you together for this very special occasion. Show one another that fighting is not the answer, and make every day of your relationship a Valentine's Day to remember.
