Have you ever written a very long and important journal entry only
to
have it erased accidentally or not submitted correctly on the web? It happens
to all of us sooner or later. After losing one of my longest entries, I
decided it was time to download the client.
If you use a client on your computer you will have a much more
pleasant online journaling experience. Clients are typically free and small,
and there are various ones to choose from depending on the features you seek.
I have only used a couple of them, but you may benefit from
experimenting with all (or some) of them to find out which you¼d prefer. One
example of a great client to use with Live Journal and U Journal is Semagic.
This client allows you to save entries, write offline and submit latter, spell
check, and detect music on Winamp, along with various other features. Not all
clients are as powerful as Semagic so you may want to download others to see
which is best for you.
To download a client for Live Journal visit
Live Journal. To download a client for U Journal
visit U Journal.

I don't get it, like a real journal, the kind where you write "Today Pa and I went out fishin' and caught us some bass, but then Jenny and Laura took my fish and pushed me and threw me in he water and..." That kind of journal entry?

I tried downloading a client a long time ago off LJ but the link never worked. I tried again this weekend and downloaded the Semagic client. I think it's a lot better. When I use the site to update it's like gambling because I never know if it will actually post. I definitly recommend a client.

I had Semagic, I was trying to use it w/ UJournal, but it didn't work for some reason. I've been using the regular client w/ LJ, but I should switch, Semagic is MUCH better.

I've been using the LJ client since I signed on. I love it--it does make journaling easier. Of course, when I get around to finally installing that copy of Semajic I was given by TechGod I might like it even more...

I prefer Semagic, a mod on the LJ client. Thanks for writing! We'll see more of your stuff next week!
