![]() Graphic By: Matthew Witherow A: Well, some folks take their PC home. If you don't, you should be sure that you turn the PC and all of its accessories (printer, scanner, speakers, etc.) off. After you've done that, unplug everything! Don't forget to unplug your network cable, phone cable, cablemodem cable, and all of those accessories. While all dorm students must unplug everything, off-campus students often forget to do so. While students are gone, the local utilities try to do a lot of "catch up" work, which often results in power disconnects, surges, brown-outs, etc.
