Whim's April Fool's Edition
Marching Through the Madness: Midwest Region (AF)
Doug McKinney | Sports Section Manager
In the Midwest, Kentucky dominated the first two rounds
while Wisconsin and Marquette surprised yours truly. This still seems like it's
a clear shot to bet on Kentucky winning the Midwest, but Pittsburgh could prove
me wrong.

Marching Through the Madness: West Region (AF)
Doug McKinney | Sports Section Manager
In the Wild Wild West we saw top seed Arizona barely escape those pesky Gonzaga Bulldogs,
and the Wildcats should be able to stop Notre Dame. But there might be a
familiar team who has a good chance of stopping Arizona.

Marching Through the Madness: South Region (AF)
Doug McKinney | Sports Section Manager
The South Region... well, I bet most of you had my cell phone number ready to
be dialed in their last second game-winning three-pointer over UNCW in the
first round, but I'm pretty confident the defending national champs have what
it takes to come close even repeating last year's success.

Marching Through the Madness: East Region (AF)
Doug McKinney | Sports Section Manager
In the East, top-seeded Oklahoma got to play their first two games in Oklahoma
State. In the later rounds, Syracuse holds the advantage by playing in Albany.
A big surprise winner might be coming out of the East bracket.

The MLB Report: AL Preview
Andrew Case | Guest Writer
Whenever I think of spring, I can't help but think about one thing: the
upcoming baseball season. Opening Day is less than a week away, and I can
smell the excitement in the air. From the bay of San Francisco to the ports
of Baltimore, MLB teams have one thing on their minds: to be the best. Every
year, teams go into the Spring Training season looking to improve their
records from the previous year and give hell to anyone in their warpath. This
week I will preview the American League, which includes the defending champions
Anaheim Angels.

God to Play for the Baltimore Orioles
Andrew Kinback | PR Manager
What does the worst team in Major League Baseball need
to get back on the winning track? A prayer and holy intervention. The Baltimore
Orioles are one such team and got exactly that. Announced Monday, God the
Creator of all life itself and Hero of the book titled "The Holy Bible" will be
donning a Baltimore Oriole jersey and coming to Camden Yards to Baptize some
balls!
