The Ritz gurus are at it again as the almighty entertainment section is loaded with six articles for the second time this season! Berkley, Shaggy, and Shaun are on a hot streak (writing articles every week thus far) with two book reviews and a DVD review this edition. Also, Zac brags of the new "Daredevil" movie in theatres while I boast of some rentals I've seen lately. Last but not least, Mr. Woodruff gets blood-hungry and reviews both the movie and book of Anne Rice's "Interview with a Vampire." Don't be hard-headed, my friend, read on!

Peace,
Brandon

Confessions of a B Movie Actor
  Andrew Kinback | PR Manager

"If the book sucks, at least there are gobs of pictures, and they're not crammed in the middle like all those other actor books." This is the guarantee on the back of a book I picked up at a Borders bookstore one day. Strolling through the Barnes and Noble look-alike, I came across a face that I knew I had seen countless times before on the TV screen.

A Darker Twist on Comic Book Movies: Daredevil
  Zac Martin | Copy Editor

Going into this, I was very nervous. "Daredevil?" Why make a "Daredevil" movie? For certain, the comic has had several great runs in its history with writers like Frank Miller, Brian Michael Bendis, and Kevin Smith, but is a mid-card comic property the stuff of which movies are made? Look and see what Zac thinks of Hollywood's latest!

Mini-Reviews for Many Rentals
Brandon Faust | Ritz Section Manager

Winter brings all sorts of great weather if you enjoy freezing yourself to death. When I am forced to stay inside because of the frigid temperatures, I usually like to rent a few movies, plop down on the couch (or bed), and watch away. The following is a compilation of "mini-reviews" of the latest and maybe greatest movies that I have grabbed off the shelves. Please enjoy and pay attention, because you might get stuck wondering what you should rent one cold, rainy night.

Sleater-Kinney Gets Down with One Beat
  Berkley Pritchett | Staff Writer

The Olympia, Washington trio demonstrates how to mature with grace. Don't hesitate to see what Berkley has to say of Sleater-Kinney's latest album. This rave reviewer of Ritz definitely knows what he is talking about when it comes down to the good ol' rock and roll. Take your mouse and clickety-click, my music-craving friend.

Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice: A Review of the Novel and Movie
  Greg Woodruff | Staff Writer

About a year ago, I found out about “Queen of the Damned.” All I knew about it was that it was about a queen of vampires. I had never really liked vampire stories up to that point because I was uncomfortable with the sight of blood. However, those days are over, and now I’m much less sensitive to the sight of blood.
