Whim Newsletter: Season 13-07
Hi everyone, and welcome back! We here at Whim HQ hope
you had a great spring break, but now it’s time to bury ourselves once again in
papers, reports, tests and group projects. Doesn’t sound like fun, does it?
Well, how about blowing off some of that stress by grabbing a Yoo-hoo and
diving into the latest edition of Whim?
Boo-hah!
STAFF NEWS
Well, we would like to report that our staffers embarked on super fun
adventures around the globe for spring break, but we would be lying. Almost all
of us either stayed here in Radford (Zac, Kevin, Valerie, Greg, Nikki and yours
truly amongst them) or returned home (Steve, Amanda, Berkeley, John and Nick).
However, head honcho Rachel Pastrik jetted down to sunny Florida to see her
grandparents, and Sports Guy Doug McKinney bolted to Ocean City for a few days.
Congratulations to Rod O’Neal, who has been selected by the Exec Staff as this
edition’s staffer of the week! Head over to the Sports section to check out
Rod’s work!
Thanks to the following staffers that moved up a star level this week!
Christie Griffith (Purple Star)
Doug McKinney (Green Star)
Andrea Swartz (Purple Star)
Matt Witherow (Silver Star)

STUDENT MEDIA NEWS
Whim is proud to report that another one of our Execs will be holding a Student Media leadership position next year! Congratulations to Vent Section Manager, Nick Pietron, who will be taking on the Tartan Editor in Chief position. Awesome Nick!
So, what are you doing on Sunday nights? Not much I’ll bet. So why not join
Whim? Whim is fun, and is very impressive looking on a resume. We need writers,
artists/cartoonists, programmers, copy editors and PR folks. Our weekly
meetings are every Sunday evening at 6:30 in Waldron 225. Stop by and say hello!
OK, that’s a wrap for this week. Take care of yourselves, OK?
