Brrrr, it's cold out there! Is anybody else freezing their butt off? Rumor has it that Phil the Groundhog saw his shadow, indicating that the arctic will plague us for a little while longer. Boo to that!

STAFF NEWS
First off, we have a few more new staffers to announce this week. A huge Whim welcome goes out to Emily Morris, Mike Flick, Chris Brown, Andrea Swartz, Jesse McBride, and Genevieve Limpin and Deanna Vestal.

In other staff news...

Congratulations to Shaun Corley, our first Staffer of the Week. This is a new award that we'll be announcing on the front page of our 'zine every week.

Lordy, Lordy, Charlene Ratcliffe is turning... Okay, well, she's not turning 40, but she did turn 27 on February 3.

Also, Happy Birthday to Life Section Manager Amanda Hoffer, who turns 22 on February 8.

Last but not least on this week's birthday list is Whim alumni and Graphics Queen Jenn Peterson, who's turning 24 years young on the 13th.

Apparently new staffer Valerie Beelman has well-aquainted herself with the Life Section, becoming a full staff member this week. Go read her article on the controversies of plasma donation. While you're at it, consider donating plasma or blood.

As a last note, the whole staff is buzzing about our trip to Chateau Morissette this Saturday, February 8. Reminder to staff (and obligatory disclaimer): you must be 21 years of age to sample the beverages.
