It's Valentine's Day and you don't know what you can do that will really intrigue your sweetie. You want to do something really special and memorable. How about a visit to Chateau Morrisette? With tours, wine tastings, and an excellent four-star resturaunt on site, it is a trip you and your sweetie are sure to remember.

Resting high atop a mountain in Floyd county, Chateau Morrisette is approximately an hour from Radford. It blends the rustic charm of the Blue Ridge Mountains with the quiet sophistication of your typical winery. The chateau itself is a massive building that is home to the winery's production, temporary storage, and retail facility.

While taking a tour you realize the marriage of old and new methods when you see oak barrels resting on racks next to giant stainless steel vats. Both are used in production creating their excellent wines. After the tour, those of drinking age can partake in a wine tasting. You get the privilage of tasting their twelve varieties of wines. Ranging from the very dry to sweet dessert wines, there is something for every taste. If you should get the chance, go to the resturaunt on the grounds. The food is not only wonderful in taste but visually appealling as well.

Don't have the chance to go this weekend? Why not make a weekend of it next weekend? They have a special Winter Wine Getaway package designed for couples. Go to Chateau Morrisette's website at www.thedogs.com for more details.
