I Hate Snow!
Amanda Hoffer | Life Section Manager
You know what? Snow sucks. I hate it. I'd like to
take up permanent residence far enough south so I would never have to see a
white Christmas again. I know it sounds horrible. But I have my reasons. If you had the history I've had with snow you may begin to understand why I
hate it. Sure, as a small child I loved snow, especially when school was snowed
out on my birthday. Missing school was great, unless we were without power. And
when we were without power, we were without water. No water equals no showers,
and hot showers are vital in the winter.
I hate driving in the stuff as well. It's obnoxious but sometimes you have
to do it. And it's obvious that some people don't know how to either. Snow
makes so many otherwise sane drivers go too fast or too slow or just drive
stupid. I shouldn't have to deal with idiocy due to a meterological event.
I can't even continue to explain why the stuff makes me so mad. All I know
is I'm going to be nice and warm and snow-free in South Carolina this holiday
season. And don't you dare say otherwise.
