Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance for
Nintendo Game Boy Advance

  Matt Butler | Staff Writer

Castlevania. Since the early days of the NES, Castlevania has been one of the greatest action series of all time. A few years ago, on its first Playstation installment, Symphony of the Night, RPG elements were introduced into the gameplay, and it quickly became not only many fans' favorite Castlevania, but also one of the greatest Playstation games ever.

Last year, a game was released for the Game Boy Advance with the same RPG elements- Castlevania: Circle of The Moon. People acknowledged the greatness of this game, but it was entirely too dark to see anything. Konami obviously listened. Harmony of Dissonance is not only brighter, but also has larger characters (especially the bosses, some of which take up more than the entire screen).

The symphonic soundtrack, the nonstop action, the gripping storyline, and more than 30 customizable magic attacks add up to make not only the best GBA game of the year, but quite possibly the best game of the year period. Rating- 10 out of 10
