A Tech Section Christmas!
  Whim Staff

Here at the Tech Section, we thought we'd take a few moments to share with you, our devoted readers our Christmas list. Our list is both practical and frivolous. You will see many things here that will make you think "duh!" as well as some things that you might not have thought about before. So sit tight, grab an IBC, and read on!

A Look Back at the Whim Tech Section, Season 12
Kevin Martin | Tech Section Manager

Right now it is 2:22am Tuesday November 19, 2002. I am sitting in my CAVE passing a few messages to friends, while contemplating the fact that this is my last column for this season. I've worked hard this semester on the Tech section. Perhaps not as hard as last semester, when I had to generate a lot more content myself, but indeed, I've put more time into Whim and Student Media in general this season.

Gifts for Geeks
  Brice Hutchings | Staff Writer

Have you been wondering where to find the perfect gifts for the geeks on your list this holiday season? Well look no further than ThinkGeek.com, ThinkGeek is the Mecca of computer centric merchandizing. Even if you don't know a thing about what your geek dose you can find him or her a great gift from think geek. Look no further than the front page for a multitude of gifts any computer junkie would enjoy, such as caffeinated soap and think geek's wide selection of super-caffeinated drinks. Besides physco-active soap there are tons of other computer centric items to choose from including hilarious T-Shirts, buttons, and mugs.

Trees and Lights
  Jonelle Thackston | Executive Assistant

As the holiday season returns, it is almost time to pick out that perfect Christmas tree. However, do not put all your energy into the tree, as there is also the ornaments, the garland and the lights. The electric Christmas light, originating around 1879, is considered to be America's contribution to the Christmas tree. The idea of lighting a tree is actually a very old Germany tradition.

Vice City: Worth the Wait?
  Nick Pietron | Staff Writer

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is finally here, and just in time for the holidays, but is it really worth the wait? Is it truly innovative or just a recycled version of last years best-selling Grand Theft Auto III? What is better, what is worse, and what is the same?
