Matt's Top Ten

Welcome to the 2002-2003 football season. Whim
sports has compiled a group of our own columnists to pick the top 10 NFL
Teams and College Football teams every week.
Top NFL Teams Week 9
1. San Diego Chargers- Having an extra week of rest under their belts, the
Chargers look to walk over the Jets on their way to the playoffs. 2. Miami Dolphins- Also had a bye this past week, but they needed the
practice after coming off of a loss to Buffalo. The Dolphins have their
work cut out as they get ready to play the Pack at Green Bay. 3. Green Bay Packers- It looks like Favre will be back this Monday night
against the Dolphins. The Packers have won 5 straight; will they keep it
going? 4. Denver Broncos- They sent the Patriots home with 4 straight losses this
weekend. The Broncos will have a bye this week and will face Oakland on
November 11th. 5. Philadelphia Eagles- An old rivalry played out on Monday night as the
G-Men fizzled and fell to the Eagles. I'm also going to name my second kid
Duce. 6. Pittsburgh Steelers- Took advantage of "No Ray Lewis" Sunday in Baltimore
and showed everyone who the king of the AFC North is for the time being. 7. San Francisco 49ers- Have to play at Oakland this weekend. We will see
what the Raiders corners can do against Jeff Garcia and Terrell Owens. 8. New Orleans Saints- Vick showed 'em that he is the man after he beat his
cousin Aaron Brooks this weekend. NO looks to regain some ground at
Carolina in 2 weeks. 9. Oakland Raiders- Have lost 3 in a row! The men in black need a win
against the 49ers really bad. 10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Coming off a win at Carolina, the Bucs will have a
battle on their hands as Moss tries to show us he is still the man in
Minnesota.
Top College Teams Week 11
1. Miami- Despite B.S. from the BCS rankings released this week the
Hurricanes are #1. 2. Oklahoma- Kicked back in the lazy boy this past weekend. Colorado lies
ahead and will be a game to watch. 3. Virginia Tech- For the second straight week the non-televised Hokies
played way below par, they will need to be on there toes for a night game at
home vs. Pitt. 4. Notre Dame- They relived an old rivalry and moved right on past the Noles
last Saturday, they face a tough Boston College team this weekend. 5. Georgia- They have to get past Florida this weekend, but if they do look
for the Bulldogs to finish the season undefeated. 6. Ohio State- Squeeked by PSU for a solid win, they face another tough team
in Minnesota this week. 7. Texas- After running all over a real tough Iowa St. team, the Longhorns
don't face a whole lot for the rest of the season. They will have to sit
back and see how everything unfolds for the BCS. 8. Iowa- Routed Michigan and they look to keep it up for the remaining
season. Hawkeyes are flat out nasty. 9. N.C. State- They proved again this past Thursday that they can't be
beaten. Two more ACC teams to reckon with lie ahead: Maryland and... oh
yeah! Florida State. 10. Colorado- Face Oklahoma on Saturday, it'll be a game... who knows?
