Matt's Top Ten

Welcome to the 2002-2003 football season. Whim
sports has compiled a group of our own columnists to pick the top 10 NFL
Teams and College Football teams every week.
Top NFL Teams Week 6
1. Oakland Raiders- You gotta love Oakland. They will have better luck in
the playoffs this year. 2. Miami Dolphins- Ran over the Pats, literally. The Denver game this week will be a great test.
3. New England Patriots- Stumbling lately and they need to do something
against the Pack. 4. Baltimore Ravens- Complete opposite of the Patriots, they are really playing much better football. It's great to see them beat the Brownies, but Ray Lewis will play hurt this week.
5. Denver Brocos- They have the nastiest month ahead of them. If they can come out on the plus side of these next 4 games (Miami, KC, NE, Oakland)they will be in really great shape. 7. Green Bay Packers- The Bears couldnt stop them on Monday night. Farve threw all over the place and had no INT's. New England next week! 8. Philadelphia Eagles- Tough loss at Jacksonville. They will have a week off to think about it and then ready to go against the Bucs on Oct. 20th. 9. New Orleans- Snuck right past the Steelers. Watch out for the Skins who need another win this weekend. 10. San Francisco 49ers- I wouldnt be surprised if Shaun Alexander runs all over them on Sunday, but that's what will have to happen for the Niners to lose.
Top College Teams Week 8
1. Miami- No doubt still #1, if Florida State can make something happen this week it will be a different story. But will Tech survive this years
Hurricane season? 2. Virginia Tech- They had a week off and had fun beating the little JV team, so now its time to focus on BC at BC. It might be interesting. 3. Texas- Can you handle it? The weekend we have been waiting for. I'm favoring those longhorned cattle.
4. Oklahoma- Confucious say: See Texas. 5. Notre Dame- I want to see VT and Notre Dame in the biggest of dances. Hurricanes and the Irish would be sweet too. Ty Wellingham is smooth as butter, he laughs at everything in his path. 6. Oregon- I bet Onterrio Smith was good at "duck, duck, goose" when he was little; you cant stop him. If you're UCLA, pray you can hold him to under 100 yards. 7. Florida State- Lost to Louisville and I thought they were going to lose the Bowden bowl too, but they pulled it off. Respect them. Big rivalry this weekend, they could pull it off. 8. Tennessee- Do they pregame to the old-school Arrested Development song? I hope so. They have worked the kinks out and have a good chance of beating Georgia. 9. Georgia- Squeeeeeked by Bama, I think Tennessee might be "movin' on up" next week. 10. Ohio State- I've said they were lucky all year. They should do well this week, but then they have a challenge with Wisconsin and Penn State.

Go all the way where? To the losers circle? End of the season is getting nearer and their inevitable losing streak that happens evey year will start.
