Around the Water Cooler   Dave Betancourt | Staff Writer It's the holiday edition of Around the Water Cooler, and what better way to start celebrating the upcoming holiday season than by seeing what some of the top athletes in sports want for X-mas.  That's right, I've got the x-mas lists for some of the top athletes in sports.  However, the decided to write them without revealing who they are, so see if you can figure out who wants what for x-mas.

For this holiday editon, I decided to put together predictions for the major bowls.   You may disagree with me about some of the predictions I make, but during this college football season, has anyone REALLY been able to predict ANYTHING. For example, who would have predicted Nebraska would have such a dismal season.  Parity is very strong in college football right now amd it will only make the games more exciting. I imagine some people have lost a lot of money betting on college football games this season.

Yours truly loves this time of the year.  No it's not March Madness yet, but it's getting close.  The winter break offers a variety of college basketball tournaments, the BCS (Bull Crap Standings) bowl games, and... Oh yeah! Those pro sports will have games too, but who cares about them. So, in honor of the New Year's resolution tradition, I have compiled resolutions for some specific teams as well as myself.

There have been some memorable college football bowl games in the past. So the staff of Whim Sports have compiled a list of their favorite bowl games over the years. And some of you Virginia Tech fans might want to hear what we think.
