Toula grows up in a very Greek family that follows all Greek traditions, one being marrying a Greek man. Toula’s Greek heritage is very important to her parents, and they expect her to have the same ideals and values. All craziness breaks loose when she decides she wants to marry a non-Greek man Ian Miller, played by John Corbett. It gets even better, not only is Ian Miller not Greek, but he is also a vegetarian which Toula’s family has no way of understanding! How in the world does Toula deal with her family?

If you are interested in an extremely funny, yet somewhat romantic movie then this should definitely be your pick! Nia Vardalos does a fabulous job acting as Toula as does John Corbett! The whole cast is hilarious, and the movie will keep you entertained and laughing between the extremely large family gatherings to the family’s house with huge Greek-style pillars! This movie has continued to fill theaters since April! The movie has done very well, and it’s audience keeps growing. The first thing I thought after the movie was that it was definitely worth the $7 that I had paid, and I would definitely go see it again!
