Since Season 12's last edition is holiday themed and won't contain a wedding
article, we thought we would give you a small assignment to chew on over the
holiday break. The mission: download the spreadsheets below, gather the
information, and do some data entry. With last week's checklist, the data table from the week before,
and these files, you should be well on your way to an organized wedding.
The following files are all Microsoft Excel documents. Each also contain a few
pointers on the topic. Using any spreadsheet program or even word processor
will make record keeping easier when it comes time to mail invitations, thank
you notes, or remind a vendor of your upcoming event.
|
Account List (14k) - Keeping
track of your vendors and contracts is very important. Update this file
frequently and have a printed copy with you on the day of your wedding. If
something unexpected happens (ie: the cake hasn't been delivered) you will know
exactly who to call.
Announcement List (13k) -
Use this file to keep track of who you are sending announcements to. Since
announcements aren't sent to guests you've invited, it is important to have the
information on a separate sheet.
Gift Record (13k) - After the
honeymoon, you may be confused as to who sent what. We recommend writing the
gift details on the card while you are opening packages, and then transferring
them info this handy spreadsheet.
Guest List (17k) - The most
important file of all! We found this so format extremely helpful when
addressing envelopes (thank God for cut and paste) and checking guest totals.

Good luck info gathering and see you next spring in Season 13!
