This week, Whim has some appetizers for you to try.  Don't just show up to your next party with a bag of chips or some store-bought cookies; arrive in style with these inexpensive and easy hors d'oeuvres.

Appetizer 1: Cucumber Sandwiches (Recipe courtesy Rachel Pastirik)

Ingredients:
1 bread baguette
1 cucumber
1 package Italian dressing mix
1 8oz container of cream cheese
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
Dill weed

Directions:
Slice baguette in 1/2 inch thick slices
Slice cucumber for each bread slice
Mix Italian salad dressing, cream cheese, and mayonnaise until blended well.
Spread mixture on bread slices.
Top with cucumber and sprinkle with dill for color and taste.

Notes:  We recommend letting the cream cheese sit out to soften or using a mixer to blend.

Appetizer 2:  Easy Quesadillas (Recipe courtesy Andrew Pastirik)

Ingredients:
2 round/flat corn tortillas
1/2 cup mozzarella or sharp cheddar cheese
Pepperoni slices
Cooking spray
Salsa or marinara (optional)

Directions:
Spray frying pan and turn stove to medium heat. Slightly brown tortilla on one side. Add cheese and pepperoni. Cover with remaining tortilla. Flip to brown other side. Cut quesadilla into triangles. Serve with salsa or marinara.

Note: This recipe is per Quesadilla.

Comments:
UGH, You stole the name of my TV show!!! If those cucumber sandwiches are what you made last Super Bowl, those are fantastic, and I am very glad to have the recipie. Maybe you can come on my show and do a guest spot, that would just confuse people more.
