Welcome to the new school semester, and a new season of Whim! I am Kevin Martin, the new Tech Section Manager for this season. During this season I hope to improve on our great content in this section, as well as to introduce some new features.

One of these new features, which you will see every week in this space. It is called "Ask the Geek." After many requests for an advice column, and an excited reception from the Whim Staff, every week I will take questions from readers like you, and answer them to the best of my abilities. It's not often that this geek gets stumped, so take your best shots! To take a shot at asking the geek, simply e-mail your question to whim@radford.edu with the subject line "Ask the Geek."

Also this season, by popular demand, we are bring back SFYA (Submitted For Your Approval), and have planned lots of other neat articles including game reviews, updates on emerging technologies, and even a planned article on the ultimate Tech-car.

I'm excited to be the new Tech Section Manager of Whim, and am also excited about our plans for this seimester. As always, if there is a technology related article you would like to see, feel free to let us know by e-mailing us at whim@radford.edu.
