This week the Geek goes over some mundane technical flimflam including how to hack the Walker Lab computers.
Q: Why is the fastest USB only CD-RW only 4x?
A: Actually, that one is easy. USB is only fast enough to support a burner going at 4x.
Q: I'm shopping for a new digital camera. What are megapixels?
A:Megapixels is a measurement of how many dots per inch there are in the image. Camera and printers use tiny dots to make and save things. The more pixels, or in cameras, Mega (million) pixels, the higher quality the image.
Q: How do I hack the security on the lab computers?
A: Take a 400 level class in Windows 2000 administration, but be aware that your 'hacking' is illegal and can get you expelled.
